Is your child interested in STEM or getting involved in STEM⋅E remotely? In addition to the upcoming events that STEM⋅E has to offer, we will be running a new social media challenge. If your child likes hands-on activities and has an inventive mind, this challenge is a great way to get creative, learn about simple machines, and share their creations.

The Challenge: Using objects from around your home, you and your child are tasked with creating a machine. This machine can be anything and can be as complex or simple as you like. It can be a recreation of an existing invention, or a completely new one. The possibilities are endless, and the only rule is that it must be made completely out of household objects such as trash, furniture, and even food!

To Enter: Simply post on any social media platform where STEM⋅E can be found as a user (instagram, twitter, facebook, tiktok- listed on https://www.steme.org/) and make sure that you (1) tag STEM⋅E in the photo, and (2) use the hashtag #stemesocialmediachallenge. Every week, a winner will be featured on one of STEM⋅E’s social media platforms so that your child can share their creation with other young inventors!
