The information that they discover plays a vital role in the organization’s actions and meets the highest standards for integrity and ethics. Thanks to the agency’s efforts, some effective outcomes such as cleaner air, better chemical screening, and safer water sources have been achieved.

To enter this field of environmental studies, analytical skills, self-discipline, and interpersonal skills are critical qualities a person should possess. Many who aim to pursue a career in this industry earn a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field such as microbiology, chemistry, physics, geology, or engineering. Social sciences subjects in environmental policy and public administration are useful for gaining knowledge about the political aspects of this field as well. This journey can often lead to a master’s degree for further advancement or a Ph.D., especially for those who would like to pursue an advanced academic career.

Overall, environmental research and sustainable strategies are constantly being developed. There are also ways that one can improve an environmental policy and its impacts just by making your voice heard and expressing an environmental cause that you are genuinely passionate about.
