About the Role
The Product Management Associate will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and launch of educational digital products, including mobile apps, websites, and games. Collaborating with youth-led teams and cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll manage and mentor student-led projects, aligning with our mission to expand STEM access and elevate the student learning experience.
This is a part-time, hourly role that offers a flexible schedule, making it ideal for individuals looking to contribute their skills to meaningful projects while maintaining work-life balance.
Hourly wage range $20-25, based on experience.
Role Responsibilities
Collaborate with the leadership team and youth participants to manage the development and delivery of apps, websites, and games that enhance STEM education.
Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Mentor and guide youth program participants, fostering skill development and a culture of creativity and innovation.
Assist in creating product roadmaps and strategic initiatives for long-term organizational goals.
Facilitate communication and coordination across youth teams and internal departments using tools like Google Classroom, Discord, and Asana.
Critical Success Factors
Self-sufficient, Multi-Project Manager – take initiative in overseeing multiple overlapping projects and timelines, coaching and developing youth programming teams; approach problem-solving with a strategic and acute viewpoint to collaboratively drive to solution
Creative, Data-Driven Decision Maker & Communicator – utilize both creativity and analytical thinking to assess current programming projects, drive continuous improvement and support the optimization of programming teams and processes
Methodical, Detail-Oriented Planner – utilize advanced planning skills, time management, communication skills, and agile programming tools to organize and manage the programming teams, ensuring success
Passionate, Patient, Service-Oriented Leader & Coach – work compassionately with new students and interns in the field to transfer knowledge and drive learning while exuding passion for STEM education and entrepreneurship to make a tangible impact
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is a plus, not required
2+ years of professional experience in project management and/or product development, including Agile methodologies and product lifecycle processes
Experience with project management and collaboration tools, such as Google Classroom, Discord, Asana, Miro, Firebase, Github, Figma
Programming/coding experience, with iOS/Android app development, websites, or video game design, is a plus, but not required
