About the Role

The Event Facilitator and Sales Associate role is an opportunity to drive direct educational impact, particularly in underserved communities. In collaboration with key leadership, the Event Facilitator and Sales Associate will initiate and grow vital relationships with local teachers, schools, and school district administration to develop long-term partnerships and facilitate teacher-led Houston-based STEAM and entrepreneurship workshops, driving professional access, exposure and skill development. You will fulfill a critical role in driving our organization’s mission and vision while making a measurable difference for local students.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with local teachers, school administration, and district administration to drive educational event partnerships

  • Strategize and work collaboratively with the Executive Director and Event Manager to plan and manage STEM, entrepreneurship, and business events (workshops, bootcamps, classes)

  • Facilitate event hosts during the event, ensuring seamless execution, providing event participants with an educational, rewarding experience

  • Capture event success metrics and provide to the Event Manager to analyze event impact and participant satisfaction, to improve future events

  • Self-sufficient, Energetic Doer – take initiative in researching, initiating and growing relationships with local teachers, schools, and school districts, documenting actions and results to help guide what does and does not work in building long-term partnerships

  • Methodical, Detail-Oriented Planner – utilize advanced planning skills and risk mitigation techniques and tools to manage and facilitate events, ensuring success

  • Innovative Thinker and Problem Solver – approach problem-solving with a strategic and acute viewpoint to independently drive to solution and ensure event success; utilize an innovative mindset to determine ways to improve partnerships and events, bringing forward new ideas that drive impact within the education space




Qualifications/Experience

  • 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in the education space

  • 1+ years of event facilitator experience, preferably in the education space
